A hot meal, a real conversation, and the love of Christ.

Mason’s Mission is a mother and her nine-year-old son feeding people experiencing homelessness — every week, by name, with dignity. It started with a sermon and a stack of personal pizzas.

Serving downtown every week since January 2026

Our story

Mason’s Mission began with a message that changed our lives.

Sitting in church one Sunday, we heard our pastor preach from Matthew 25. As we listened to the words of Jesus, we were deeply convicted. We had passed by people experiencing homelessness without stopping. That very same day, my son Mason and I took personal pizzas downtown and began feeding people on the street. What started as a simple act of obedience became something much greater. As we served, we felt an overwhelming calling from God to continue — and we haven’t stopped.

We named this mission after my son because he is the key. He brings innocence and pure love from God — no agenda, no judgment, not one bad thought about anyone’s circumstances.

Our goal is not just to hand someone a meal. It is to make a connection, restore hope, and show the love of Christ through compassion. We believe every person has value and deserves to feel seen, loved, and not forgotten.

Our lives have not been the same since that day in January 2026.

Seen, loved, and not forgotten

Three things we want every person we meet downtown to walk away knowing.

Seen

We learn names. We ask questions. We stay long enough to listen, because being walked past is its own kind of hunger.

Loved

Nobody has to earn a meal from us. Love that comes with conditions attached isn’t the love we were shown.

Not forgotten

We come back. Every week, the same streets and the same faces, so that trust has room to grow.

Meet Mason

He prays. He listens. He serves tirelessly, every single week.

Mason has been the greatest blessing of this ministry. He is nine years old, and he has never once looked at somebody on the street and wondered how they got there. He just sees a person who is hungry, and he wants to help.

That is why the mission carries his name. Children haven’t yet learned to be careful with their love. Watching Mason hand a meal to a grown man and ask him how his day went has taught us more about Matthew 25 than any book could.

What a week looks like

Nothing complicated. We cook, we pack, we drive downtown, and we stay a while.

Food and water, handed over in person

Sandwiches, chips, ice waters, and single packets of coffee and hydration mix. It began with personal pizzas and those still go out too. We hand every meal over ourselves so there is a face and a name attached to it.

Bags of supplies, packed for the season

Hygiene items, socks, first aid, ponchos, and something to carry it all in. In winter we add blankets, gloves, hats, Hot Hands, and boot warmers. Tents, sleeping bags, and blankets go out year-round.

Time, conversation, and prayer when it’s welcome

We are not running a drive-by. We sit down, we ask names, we remember them next week. We ask before we pray and never make it the price of a meal. When someone says yes, Mason usually goes first.
